Blade Sweep - Overall Diameter,
blade tip to blade tip

Blade Sweep

Blade Sweep is the overall diameter from blade tip to blade tip.

Blade Sweep Selection. General rule of thumb.

For Rooms up to = Blade Sweep

9 sq metre (3m x 3m) = 900mm
16 sq metre (4m x 4m) = 1200mm
25 sq metre (5m x 5m) = 1400mm

Take into account that the blades will clear open cupboard doors, not be within reach from bunk beds and do not cross over lighting which may cause a flickering affect.

Remotes

Remotes

Radio Frequency Remote Control consists of two parts.

  1. Receiver Control Unit is housed in the top canopy. Codes are set by pushing DIP switches up or down. It is imperative that the code used for both transmitter and receiver is exactly the same; otherwise remote controller will not work. Please note the code switch will enable you to operate a second remote controller independently. For example, if you have two ceiling fans with 2 remote control units, set 2 different codes for each set of transmitter/receivers. This means you can operate each ceiling fan independently.
  2. Transmitter Unit is handheld. A battery is included. The batteries will weaken with age and should be replaced before leaking takes place as this will damage the transmitter. The DIP code switch can be found in the battery housing.

NB: The Remote should not be used together with a wall regulator.

Room Lights or Down Lights can be operated by the RemoteL4 or LD4.
Maximum light load is 300 watts (6 x 50 watt down lights)

Only use the dimmer option RemoteLD4 with DIMMABLE LED or Incandescent Lamps.

Down Rods

Down Rods

Minimum Height Restriction
For Safety reasons fan blades should not be lower than 2300mm above floor level.

Maximum Height Installation.
There is no restriction. However too high will affect the cooling efficiency.

Angled or Vaulted Ceilings
Install a wedge that provides a horizontal surface for attaching the downrod.

Standard 230mm downrod & hanging hook are supplied with each fan.

Optional 450mm & 900mm downrods available.

Customised lengths up to 6 metres are available.

Formula for calculating customised lengths

D (downrod length) =
X (Floor to ceiling height) minus
2300mm (Minimum Blade height or selected height above floor level) minus
170mm (motor measurement & hanging assembly)

D = X - 2300 -170
